Why So Dry?

We seized the opportunity to sample Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Sticks in Aspen during X-Games weekend, but took the opportunity to create a bigger movement. While our team handed out samples at the base of the mountain, we got to work creating content at 13,000 feet.
We highlighted the 48-hour moisture the sticks provide by asking skiers and snowboarders questions about all things chapped and moist while quizzing them on the product knowledge they learned from our team on the ground.

But Why Aspen?

Glad you asked. Boasting tasty downhills, fresh powder and being generally dry and cold AF, it was also hosting the 2024 Winter X-Games.

We spent two days in Gondola Plaza where foot traffic was constant, sampling Vaseline Lip Therapy sticks while our team conducted on-the-slopes interviews with consumers who were in town for the X-Games. Experiencing the power of staying moist had crusty skiers and snowboarders stoked about all four flavors – Original, Cocoa Butter, Aloe and Rosy Lips.

Handing samples and speaking with countless consumers generated hours of authentic, compelling video content for the brand to leverage across paid social media channels.

Different Strokes for Different Folks

While many were familiar with Vaseline Lip Therapy, the ladies were especially excited when we shared our tinted variant, Rosy Lips. Younger consumers were interested in the Cocoa Butter and wanted to try the Aloe, while most the gents preferred to stick with Original. Everyone loved learning how easy it is to purchase their favorite Vaseline Lip Therapy variant on Amazon and that it’s available at so many retailers across the US. ​
