Are you a college student looking to gain experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, influencer marketing, experiential marketing, graphic design, copywriting, or any of the myriad other careers involved in the marketing field? The Rinck Advertising internship program offers students the opportunity to get a feel for full-service agency life working with agency professionals and clients on a local, regional, national, and global scale across a wide variety of industries. Throughout the 8-week program (Memorial Day through mid-August), interns will rotate through departments, gaining in-depth experience in agency life by shadowing and learning from Account Managers, Project Managers, and members of the creative, content, digital, media, public relations, influencer marketing, experiential marketing, and operations teams. Utilizing the knowledge and skills gained throughout the internship experience, and leaning on the mentorship of agency personnel, intern(s) will develop and present a comprehensive capstone project that encompasses the experience and knowledge gained throughout their internship.
The Rinck Summer Internship is a part-time position with suggested hours Monday-Thursday, 9.am. – 2 p.m. EST. (If full-time is required by your institution’s internship program, this can be discussed.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint using Apple computers. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
Clearly defines learning objectives provided by intern’s higher education institution and communicates those with agency leadership to ensure internship program is built/modified to meet these objectives
Participates in departmental, cross-functional team, agency, and client meetings to observe, participate, and gain insights into agency roles and client work
Completes tasks as assigned by department heads such as contributing to creative brainstorms; developing project briefs, budgets, and timelines; conducting research; creating content; strategizing tactics; and assisting with client campaign execution
Utilizes knowledge and skills gained from various in-depth department trainings to develop a comprehensive capstone presentation
Builds and maintains positive relationships with agency colleagues, clients, and vendors
Meets with the Vice President, Public Relations and Influencer Marketing weekly to review progress against learning objectives and capstone
Adheres to and demonstrates Rinck’s Brand Image Attributes
Performs other duties as assigned
H.S. graduate. Preference given to current college students pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, graphic design, or related marketing field.
