Rinck Advertising Awarded Four-Year Vermont Department of Health Contract for Statewide Public Health Communications

Rinck Awarded VDH Contact

LEWISTON, Maine, October 20, 2026 — Rinck Advertising, a nationally recognized brand and behavior agency, has been awarded a four-year contract by the Vermont Agency of Human Services, Department of Health to provide marketing, communications, media services, and behavior change initiatives supporting statewide tobacco control and chronic disease prevention through June 2030.

Since 2021, Rinck has partnered with the Vermont Department of Health to connect Vermonters across diverse communities with trusted health information, prevention and treatment resources, and support from healthcare providers.

“Helping people make healthier choices starts with understanding the barriers that can make those choices difficult. We use that insight to design communications and experiences that help people find and use the information and support they need,” said Laura Rinck, CEO, Rinck. “We’re pleased to continue supporting the Department’s tobacco control and chronic disease prevention efforts across Vermont.”

Through statewide tobacco prevention and cessation campaigns, Rinck has helped translate behavioral insights into measurable results. The agency’s work has helped increase provider referrals by 480%, improved enrollment in Vermont’s free tobacco treatment program, increased utilization of quit medications, and contributed to continued declines in adult smoking across the state.

The new contract reflects the Department’s continued confidence in Rinck’s ability to translate research into measurable public health outcomes. For more than 25 years, Rinck has partnered with state agencies, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and national brands to develop evidence-based communications that improve awareness, influence behavior, and help people overcome barriers and take action.

Rinck’s public health work includes campaigns for the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The Quit Like a Mainer tobacco cessation campaign drove year-over-year enrollment growth in Maine QuitLink services for 12 consecutive months and received a Bell Ringer Award from the PR Club of New England. The youth vaping prevention campaign Don’t Get Side Effected generated more than 40 million impressions. Enrollment in Maine’s My Life, My Quit™ program increased 119% and earned a Platinum Hermes Creative Award. Rinck’s broader, multi-year public health work with the Maine CDC has also been recognized by the Public Relations Society of America, the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, and the Maine Public Relations Council. Rinck’s public health portfolio includes work across northern New England in tobacco prevention and cessation, suicide prevention, substance use prevention, chronic disease, healthcare access, maternal health, and community health.

“Whether the goal is helping someone quit tobacco, connect with a healthcare provider, or make a healthier choice, the challenge is understanding what will help them take that next step,” said Rinck. “Our role is to combine research, creativity, and connected marketing to help people take action, and to deliver results our clients can measure.”
