Public Health
Maine has one of the highest rates of asthma in the country. About 1 in 9 Mainers currently has asthma, compared to 1 in 12 nationally. Asthma is the leading chronic disease in children, affecting 5.1 million children under the age of 18.
Improve the lives of asthmatic children under the age of 18 and families in Maine by creating awareness of the Maine Asthma Self-Management Education (SME) Program.
Rinck collaborated with the MACP to help individuals learn how to take control of their asthma so they can breathe easier and live full and active lives. Targeted paid media was deployed to reach parents of children under the age of 18 and informational toolkits were developed to educate Maine childcare providers.
The four-month digital campaign generated 9.8 million impressions and 32,000 ad clicks across programmatic audio and display, paid search, Meta, and Pinterest. Programmatic audio spots reached 530k unique users and 1,600 printed toolkits were distributed to childcare providers throughout Maine. The Maine Asthma Prevention and Control Program was named as the winner of the 2024 National Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management.
