Rinck Advertising Names Chad Vander Lugt as Executive Creative Director
“In March 2020, Rinck went fully remote due to Covid. Although we still have our headquarters in Maine, we have made several key strategic hires across the United States including Illinois, Virginia, New Jersey and now South Dakota,” stated Rinck CEO, Peter Rinck. “If there is a silver lining to the post-pandemic workforce, it is that we have expanded our talent pool and are able to seek the most experienced, innovative team members who fit our clients’ evolving needs.”
Vander Lugt will be responsible for leading the creative, studio, and digital departments in brand building and strategic campaign development across multiple industries, markets and media. In his role, he will work closely with the agency’s Senior Director of Client Strategy, Kristy Phinney.
“This will be a fascinating new challenge for me. I am thrilled to be joining this dynamic team and I look forward to bringing my experience and creative philosophy to bear on Rinck’s diverse and exciting roster of clients. And my family and I absolutely love Maine. We left for family reasons in 2016, but the notion of one day moving back has always been on our hearts and minds. We are overjoyed to be coming home,” said Vander Lugt.
Until then, Vander Lugt will remotely lead his team from Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he most recently was the executive creative director at HenkinSchultz. He has previously worked with The VIA Agency in Portland, Maine; FCB in Chicago, and TracyLocke in Dallas. Vander Lugt has experience with major brands including Frito-Lay, Ingersoll Rand, Harrah’s, Tabasco, Welch’s, People’s United Bank and Sam’s Club. His work has been recognized with multiple awards including two Adweek Ad of the Day mentions.
“We wanted to hire top notch talent for this role and interviewed candidates across the country,” continued Rinck. “Chad stood out for his strong strategic brand building methodology and brand experience. He has jumped in with both feet, demonstrating his passion for brand storytelling and his desire to elevate the work we do. The fact that he and his family want to move back to Maine is truly icing on the cake and we are thrilled.”
