Account Executive / Promotions Manager
Kevin joined Rinck in September 2008 with a background in marketing, graphic design and video production.
As an Account Executive Kevin is responsible for daily contact between the agency and client accounts. Kevin has major input in developing strategic marketing plans for clients and once approved is responsible for carrying out the plan, interfacing with various departments to move projects through to completion. Kevin currently works directly with Maine Housing, Portland Harbor Hotel/The Inn at Diamond Cove, Portland International Jetport, Amtrak Downeaster & Maine McDonald’s Owner/Operator Association.
As Director of Promotions/Account Executive, Kevin develops, manages and executes Brand Touch® promotional tours & special events for Rinck clients including the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority/Amtrak Downeaster, Maine McDonald’s Owner/Operator Association and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.
Since 2009, Kevin has executed and managed the annual Maine McDonald’s High School Senior All-Star Basketball Games & Awards Banquet and the national award-winning Breakfast Makes a Difference Day. His annual Maine McDonald’s UpTeam promotional tours have traveled throughout Maine’s 16 counties and eastern New Hampshire attending well-known parades & festivals. The tours often include on-air radio appearances, radio remotes and business ambushes promoting new product launches.
In addition, Kevin has developed and executed special events and grand opening celebrations for Rinck clients including Maine McDonald’s Owner/Operator Association, Green Mountain Coffee, Efficiency Maine, Mechanics Savings Bank, Norway Savings Bank, Agren Appliance, Dean Foods, Cabot Creamery, Land O’Lakes, Gorton’s Seafood, Emerge Film Festival, Daily’s Cocktails and the Dempsey Challenge.
Kevin’s work has been recognized with numerous Maine Public Relations Council Golden Arrow Awards in the category of Special Events for Maine McDonald’s All-Star Basketball Games and Maine McDonald’s National Coffee Day and in the Audio Visual category for Maine McDonald’s “Making Change” Documentary.
In 2011, he was honored as a USA Weekend’s National Make a Difference Day – National Honoree for organizing and executing Maine McDonald’s “Breakfast Makes a Difference” program. Kevin and his team were one of ten National Honorees recognized for volunteer efforts at a ceremony in Washington, DC. The award included a $10,000 donation for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.
Kevin is a 2008 graduate of the University of Maine in Orono where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in New Media with a minor in Studio Art and received a certificate in Doug Hall’s Innovation Engineering™ program. A Senator George J. Mitchell Scholar, Mitchell received the 2007 Leon & Lisa Gorman Pioneer award that recognizes a Mitchell Scholar who has demonstrated qualities of leadership, character, and hard work. He is an active member in his community and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in Pennsylvania and Katrina Relief work in New Orleans.
An avid runner and former high school cross country coach, Kevin seeks out road races that benefit causes. He ran his first marathon last summer. A resident of Turner, Maine, he enjoys spending time at his house on Bear Pond tending to his garden, boating and waterskiing.
