Kevin Gove is one of Rinck’s Public Relations Managers, offering a wide range of traditional and digital public relations services for clients including Healthy Maine Partnerships/Partnership for a Tobacco-free Maine, The Dempsey Challenge, and the Finance Authority of Maine/Maine Department of Education. Kevin has 12 years of experience in PR and marketing and has become a trusted source for travel media in New England and beyond. He specializes in informative and fluff-free news, feature, and online copywriting that gets the attention of media and holds the interest of consumers.
Kevin spent 10 years on the Maine Office of Tourism account team at Nancy Marshall Communications, and has developed and implemented public relations programs and media relations strategies on behalf of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, Linekin Bay Resort, Maine Community Foundation, Schooner Mary Day, and Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees of Maine.
His understanding of the needs of travel media and his vast, first-hand knowledge of Maine travel offerings are a combination that have led to media coverage by National Public Radio, the Boston Sunday Globe, DallasNews.com, Fodors.com, "Your Weather Today" on The Weather Channel, MSNBC.com BBC.com, The Associated Press and the Boston Herald.
Kevin has a knack for matching unique story ideas with writers seeking regular content. He has also implemented successful client Facebook engagement strategies that have increased organic page likes and got as many as 60,000 people talking about one post.
Kevin also worked as a freelance PR consultant and was a sports reporter at the Sun Journal in Lewiston, Maine. He is a past member of the Maine Public Relations Council board of directors, and a graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. He resides in Bowdoin with his wife and their two children.
